CK-9 had a fantastic time at the annual Veteran's Day Parade in St Mary's County!
Call Out Upper Marlboro 28 October 2024
K-9 called out by PG county police at 1130 on 28 Oct for a 72 YO female missing since 0830 that morning. We responded with 4 dog teams and 2 flankers along with many other SAR teams all run by the PGCP. About 5:30 PM the police helicopter spotted her walking in the woods alive and well:-) Happy ending to the search.
ST Mary's County Public School STEM Fest: 26 October, 2024
Teams Nova and Waze attended the St. Mary’s County Public School’s annual STEM fest this Saturday! ✏️The day was spent teaching attendees about Search and Rescue K-9s and the important role that they play in the community ✏️ Both teams also ran demonstrations that showed the crowd different K-9 indications
Maxwell Hall Colonial Fair and Fall Festival: 20 October, 2024
CK-9 has a fantastic time at Maxwell Hall’s Fall Festival and Colonial Fair this weekend! All dogs ran small areas before guests arrived. The rest of the day was then spent teaching visitors about Search and Rescue K-9s.
CK-9 Call Out Waldorf 13 October 2024
CK-9 called out by Charles CSO for 5 YOM autistic boy missing for 2 hours. We first Deployed Storm who tracked to a pond; then Paxton later to water search HRD giving high interest in the pond. Divers later sadly recovered the body.

Civil Air Patrol Pathfinder School Demo 8.8.24
Teams Toby, Leyna, and Waze traveled to the Civil Air Patrol Pathfinder School in Westminster Maryland to teach cadets how work with K-9 Search Teams. After a classroom lesson, Pathfinders had the chance to watch both HR and livefind demonstrations.
CK-9 Call Out Temple Hills 3 August 2024
At 0130 this dark morning 3 Aug 2024, CK-9 was called out by PG County Police for a 79 YO missing man with dementia. We responded with 3 live find search dog teams and a flanker. Dog teams Sassy, Leyna and Puma completed their first night task assignments and had just started their second assigned tasks at daybreak when news came that the man was happily found alive on someone's porch over a mile away 🙂 ....... Congrats to Team Julia/Puma for making their first official search with Dona flanking.

CK-9 called out by Calvert SO 3 Jul 2024 at 1700 for a 20 YOM despondent. We deployed 1 tracking dog team, 4 area search dog teams, 3 flankers and 2 base support. He was safely located in VA at 2100.
CK-9 Call Out Capital Heights 27 July 2024
CK-9 Called out late night by PG county police for a 76 YOM dementia walk away. We deployed Teams Waze, Sassy and Leyna to search for him. He was safely located the next day:-)
CK-9 Call Out Cheltenham 23 May 2024
CK-9 deployed Team Kita/Waze 23 May 2024 at the request of Prince George County Police to Cheltenham MD at 0130 in the morning for a missing 70 YOF dementia missing since 1800. A happy find was made by the police search effort around 0530.
St. Mary's Civil Air Patrol Demo May 8, 2024
Team Toby and Team Bennie (retired) along with Elizabeth went to St. Mary's composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol for a demo and instruct the cadets on how to work with K-9 teams. Lots of fun was had by all and especially Toby and Bennie!

CK-9 called out by MSP for a cold case search for a missing woman. We responded with 2 HRD dog teams with multiple other SAR teams. No find was made.
Dogfest 27/28 April 2024
CK-9 had a fantastic time at Maryland Dogfest. Many CGC tests were given throughout the two day event and information provided about the CK-9 Team!
CK-9 Call Out Clinton 26 Apr 2024
CK-9 called out 0630 on 26 Apr 2024 by PGCP for a 62 YOM dementia missing since 1800 last night. We deployed 4 dog teams and 2 flankers to join other search assets and LE agencies searching. CK-9 Team "Sassy" made the happy find around 1500 deep in the woods. He was littered out over 700 meters by the efforts of many folks/agencies. He was then returned to his happy family:-)

CK-9 called out at 1510 on 27 Mar 2024 by MSP for a 59YOF Dementia missing since early morning. We deployed 4 live find area search dog teams with 6 flankers. They arrived on site at 1700, got task assignments, but just before deploying were notified another MSP search team had made sad find.

CK-9 and multi agencies Called Out by MSP to arrive 0900 Feb 21, 2024 to Greenbelt for a Female despondent missing 2-3 weeks. We responded with Team Toby and Sharon flanking. No find was made.
CFC Event-Pentagon 10 Jan 2024
Members of CK-9 attended two CFC events this week at Andrews Joint Base and the Pentagon. Teams Toby, Butters, Nova, and Waze had a great time meeting new people and discussing our organization!

CK-9 Call Out Indian Heath 9 December 2023
CK-9 Advance call out by LT J.M. Hastings CCSO, Indian Head Search Manager for 0730 9 Dec 2023 for an HRD search on shoreline and water for a 25 YOM who disappeared from the naval base in Indian Head on 23 Nov; and his car was recently located in Mattawoman Creek. A multi team search was performed, but no find.
